campomarzio renovates property PB in italy with uniform white surfaces

in the smaller city of caldonazzo in northern italy, campomarzio has turned an previous rural developing into a contemporary home with a clean and uncomplicated aesthetic. named ‘house PB’, the newly renovated dwelling is characterised by the style and design team’s gentle contact and conservative tactic.

located in the historic heart of caldonazzo, the constructing is the sum of various attributes that have been merged above time but are still plainly discernible from the irregular façades and different ground amounts. for the exterior, campomarzio restored the roof and elevations, eliminating incoherent components to set up a extra correct integration into the encompassing context. inside of, the architectural collective totally renovated the 2nd ground and converted the attic room. they related these two stages with a new timber staircase.

 

 

the original timber structure of the 19th century roof was preserved and strengthened by a new composition of the same shape higher than it. large skylights were inserted into the roof to provide all-natural light-weight inside of. the floors and openings in the façades ended up also maintained, and the outdated concrete walkways and balconies had been replaced by new wooden ones.
